FROstrating

When dealing with the Family Responsibility Office leaves you both frosted (angry) and frustrated at the same time

FOAEAA

FOAEAA is short for the Family Orders and Agreements Enforcement Assistance Act. You can read it here

This Act “provides for the release of information that may assist in locating persons in default and other persons and to permit, for the enforcement of support orders and support provisions, the garnishment and attachment of certain moneys payable by Her Majesty in right of Canada.”

Like the Family Responsibility and Support Arrears Enforcement Act, it contains a list of rules that must be followed by the Family Responsibility Office.

Reading this Act will help you understand how FRO accesses information about payors, garnishes money from a variety of sources and suspends licenses of all kinds.

What do you think?
